PhotoBoat

OUR PROJECT

Designed to function as a mobile educational unit, PhotoBoat is a vessel that brings culture, education and art to riverside communities through photographic and training workshops. In them, in addition to learning in a playful way how images are formed, residents are encouraged to reflect on the space in which they live from photographic records and the creation of captions. At the end of each workshop, all the material is printed and transformed into an exhibition in the community.

PhotoBoat will navigate the waters of the Arapiuns River, in which, on its banks, 26 communities live. At the end of the workshop circuit, the best images produced by the residents will be brought together in two major exhibitions in the cities of Belém (PA) and Manaus (AM).
